Lots of new stuff happening all around the June '76 shows. And also lots of returns - Candyman had last been played in early '73. But then all the stuff coming back from '71 and '70 is most welcome to the sort of person I am- like St Stephen, Cosmic Charlie, Dancin' In The Streets, High Time and Minglewood. If you have ever listened to the rehearsal tapes from May '76 then you may notice they were practicing Attics of My Life, but it never made it back to a concert performance till '89, along with Dark Star.

Club Front Studio rehearsal tape. I don't really listen to it often, but it is interesting. I'd rather hear a show.

When we get back to the tour..., the playing/ approach of these songs returning, the new songs and the sound was all new. The tone of Jerry's guitar was clear as a bell. All very exciting for the listener and I'm sure for the band, too.

Listening to June 11, 1976 this morning. Has Candyman. A real highlight is St. Stephen > Dancin' > Music Never Stopped. Also set 2 really goes wild with Sugaree, Sugar Magnolia > Eyes Of The World > Stella Blue > Sunshine Daydream.

There are a few soundboards to choose from on the archive, but this is the one I have on right now. It was from GDLive, and I may have gotten it from that website a while ago. I'm not sure which is considered the "best" but it does the trick for me. If anyone has a preference to one of the other copies of this show, I'm interested.

Don't know if this was one of the shows you attended in '76, DarkStarz, but if you did... lucky you!
